2026’s bear market takes its first victim, and it isn’t even a hack. ProBit Global, an 8-year old crypto trading platform known for small altcoins announces a full shutdown.
ProBit Global will exit all EU and EEA markets due to MiCA rules, effective December 30, 2025. Affected traders must withdraw assets early to avoid penalties and forfeiture.
ProBit Global is no longer available, as the exchange completely shut down its services in 2026. Shutdown Info. This review below is for info/archival purposes only and meant for any customers still stumbling upon this exchange or any mention of it.
ProBit is a spot-only crypto exchange with a focus on providing access to cheap altcoins not found anywhere else. These low-cap altcoins are usually risky investments and may not be suitable for inexperienced traders.
The exchange has been operating since 2017 and is generally considered reliable. Through many integrated 3rd party fiat deposits you can buy crypto with cards, bank transfers, and dozens of additonal local payment options, making the platform potentially suitable for new investors.
Compared to similar alternative exchanges, trading fees on ProBit are quite reasonable by default, and can be easily reduced further. Overall, lack of advanced trading options and features means ProBit Global’s use cases are limited.
Crypto investors in need of simple spot trading and tons of low-cap or newly listed altcoins will find ProBit Global exchange a good fit. This exchange was launched in 2017, and has attracted over 2 million users since then.
In our review, we’ll take a closer look at ProBit’s features, fees, safety, and other aspects of this exchange. If you’re considering trading here, don’t miss going through our review to learn more about this centralized crypto exchange.
ProBit can be used by first-time investors, but isn’t always recommended. Local currency (fiat) deposits can only be made through 3rd party gateways. These services generally charge high fees, and it’s typically best to avoid them to ensure fees don’t eat away into your profits.
On ProBit, there’s certainly a lack of overall features, and this is true for beginner-friendly features too. The exchange essentially mainly offers simple Spot trading through its web or mobile app. Features such as crypto debit cards, fiat withdrawals and similar simply don’t exist.
As a result, we do not recommend using ProBit to make first time investments. Instead, the platform’s biggest use case is to invest in low market cap altcoins or newly listed tokens that aren’t available on bigger exchanges yet. ProBit is often one of the first exchanges to list new coins, making it potentially suitable to cash out Launchpad investments or coins obtained from airdrops.
In summary: Fiat deposits only through 3rd party payment gateways, and no fiat withdrawals. Crypto deposits are free, withdrawals are in line with industry averages.
By directly depositing local currency to exchange’s bank accounts, you can typically avoid high fees. Unfortunately, ProBit Global doesn’t offer any direct deposits. Instead, to deposit fiat onto the exchange you can choose from the integrated 3rd party payment gateways.
ProBit does have one thing going for it: we haven’t come across any exchanges with this many 3rd party payment services (gateways). In total, you can choose from more than 10 different gateways. Most popular ones such as Simplex, MoonPay or Mercuryo are included, but also many others.
The upside to this many services are definitely choices: you can pick nearly any local currency, and pay with over a hundred different payment methods. ProBit itself charges minimal or no fees for fiat deposits, but the gateways do. In most cases (depending on currency, country and payment methods), you can expect fees around 5%.
At this time, ProBit doesn’t have fiat withdrawals, even through the 3rd party gateways. You won’t be able to cash out your crypto into local currency in any way. Instead, you will need to withdraw crypto assets to another exchange or service.
Good news: none of the 800+ altcoins listed on ProBit have any deposit fees. You can deposit any of the supported coins or tokens with zero fees, and the exchange will not charge you anything for it.
You can also withdraw any listed altcoin through native blockchains or Layer 2 networks. The fees depend on each particular token, but also network congestion. You can view all withdraw fees transparently on the Deposit & Withdrawal fees page. For simplicity, here are some of the most popular coins and fees:
These fees are practically the same as on any other crypto exchange. ProBit has reasonable withdrawal fees in line with industry standards, and will not charge you any premiums for withdrawing cryptocurrency assets.
You can buy and trade cryptocurrency on ProBit through the “Buy Crypto” page, where you can directly use fiat to purchase from a small selection of mainstream coins. Alternatively, you can use your deposited crypto to swap assets in Convert, or engage in regular Spot trading.
Buy Crypto will use the aforementioned 3rd party payment services, letting you buy Bitcoin or popular mainstream assets with local currency. To avoid any subsequent transaction fees, you can directly buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Avalanche (AVAX), Binance Coin (BNB), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM), Solana (SOL), and a small number of other assets. You can also simply choose USDT or USDC stablecoins.

Convert is ProBit’s quick-conversion feature which lets you swap assets with just a couple of clicks. The feature also only has a selection of ~30 mainstream assets, so you will not be able to trade just about any coin. Using Convert is best when you quickly wish to swap from Bitcoin to USDT, or BTC to XRP, for example.

Like most exchanges with the quick convert feature, ProBit also claims this has no fees. And technically, it’s true. However, instead of a fee, there is a small price spread (difference between quoted and market price). In our testing, this spread was typically 0.2% (same as regular Spot trading fee).
Spot trading is where the action happens on this platform. On Spot, you can buy and trade between any of the 800+ listed altcoins. Coins are available in either USDT, BTC or ETH pairs. For example, DOGE/USDT for trading Dogecoin and Tether, or ENS/ETH for swapping Ethereum Name Service for Ethereum, or ETC/BTC for swapping Ethereum Classic and Bitcoin. Most coins only have USDT pair, however.
Similarly to other exchanges, you can set Limit or Market orders easily to either buy assets instantly, or at your desired price levels. ProBit’s spot interface also lets you place GTC, GTCPO, IOC and FOK orders, suitable for advanced trading. Expert traders might lack certain order types such as Iceberg or TWAP, as these are not available.

The user interface (UI) is simple and familiar to anyone who used a crypto exchange before. International users will appreciate localized translations available in 45 different languages!
Overall, we are a bit disappointed in the UI customization options. You can swap between two different layouts (Classic and Fullscreen), change buy/sell colors for better contrast, but that’s about it. You won’t be able to move or resize various panels like the TradingView chart or open orders. Sadly, the order book and market trades can’t be hidden either.
Despite the UI shortcomings, we had no issues whatsoever when executing spot trades. We hope the interface will continue to be improved in the future. Nevertheless, for basic spot trading, ProBit will do the job just fine.
Trading fees on spot are set to 0.20% per trade. All pairs and order types (maker or taker) have the same fee. When compared to Spot fees on other exchanges, ProBit’s 0.02% fee is industry-average. Some exchanges charge much more, for instance Coinbase will charge between 0.06% to 1.20% per transaction! On the other hand, cheapest exchanges charge half as much (0.01%) per swap.
Overall, ProBit is not the cheapest exchange for spot trading. Day traders who want to trade frequently can find cheaper alternatives. However, ProBit Global doesn’t charge exorbitant fees either, and can be used for simple trading without breaking the bank.
Worth noting, you can use ProBit’s native token to pay for trading fees, giving you a 10% to 40% discount, depending on VIP levels. Speaking of VIP levels, they can be obtained by holding and staking a certain amount of PROB, which can further reduce trading fees. Potentially, you can reduce fees all the way down to 0.03%.
When it comes to volume and liquidity, neither will be a problem for small-time traders. ProBit is generally within top 50 by Spot trading volume, and mainstream assets have plenty of trading volume and order book depth for easy 5-figure positions without slippage.
Things get a bit trickier with low-cap altcoins, and there are many of these listed on ProBit. As mentioned before, this exchange lists many emerging altcoins, some of which can’t even be traded on other centralized exchanges, meaning the volume and liquidity can be low. Market-opening high 4 or 5 figure positions can result in high slippage. When buying or selling large amounts, sticking to a few well-placed Limit orders is typically recommended.
We explored deposits and withdrawals and explained how to trade on ProBit. Now let’s briefly glance over some other features on this trading platform.
ProBit has a fairly active launchpad platform, in fact it’s one of the most active launchpads in the industry right now. Due to regulatory pressure, many more popular exchanges are actively avoiding any new coin presales. ProBit Global took advantage of this market gap, and lets its community invest early into promising new cryptocurrencies.
By participating in Launchpad, you can buy into upcoming crypto tokens and become one of the early investors. Investing early lets you potentially reap the biggest profits, but of course it’s not without its risks. If you intend to invest into launchpad projects, it’s essential to do proper research and risk management.
ProBit also runs frequent airdrops for its community. You can earn free tokens by participating in quizzes, joining social media, referring users or trading coins on spot. Each airdrop event will have different criteria. These airdrops certainly won’t make you rich, but they still give you the opportunity to obtain some free tokens and can be worth exploring.
By participating in Learn & Earn events, you can earn additional free crypto with some simple tasks. Read a short article or watch an introduction video, complete a quick quiz, and you will earn free crypto rewards guaranteed (while supplies last).
These L&E events aren’t very frequent – there’s only been one so far in 2025, and two in 2024. But if you manage to participate in one, getting the rewards is simple and easy.
Staking on ProBit is different than what you may be used to on other crypto exchanges. Here, the staking events are limited-time, and generally focused on newly released coins or Launchpad project tokens. Only Fixed duration staking will be available, but the returns are often high, sometimes higher than 100% for a yearly lock-in.
The one exception is TRX staking (“Auto-Hold“), where you can get annualized rewards of 6%. This happens to be one of the highest Tron staking returns in the market, even. But for users looking for simple staking or savings plans for multiple coins, exploring other staking exchanges is recommended.
ProBit doesn’t have any native trading bots directly available on its web or mobile platform, sadly. However, the exchange partnered with multiple other services to enable automated trading.
It’s important to mention that these 3rd party services may have their own costs or monthly subscriptions.
Identity verification is optional on ProBit, and users do not need to submit their documents to use any of the exchange’s features (fiat deposits will require KYC on individual service used). You can deposit or withdraw crypto assets and trade unlimited volume on spot without completing KYC. Without KYC, users can withdraw up to 5,000 USDT per day.
Small trading competitions are being run constantly on the platform. For the most part, competition events are limited to newly released altcoins and memecoins, which is either good or bad, depending your trading habits.
In case you like scalping low-cap altcoins, these competitions can give you extra profits and can be worthwhile to join.
With the Internal Transfer feature, ProBit users can send crypto to other exchange users without any fees or delays. By choosing “Internal transfer” Under “Withdrawals” and inputting a user ID (UID) or email, you can instantly send crypto to your friends or contacts who also use this exchange. For convenience, an address book is also available.
There’s really no proof to suggest ProBit is a scam exchange or doing anything illegal. The platform has been operating since 2017 without security issues or stolen funds. On social media and app stores, users generally have positive feedback and rarely mention any issues with funds.
The company overall isn’t particularly transparent with its operations or corporate structure, and the website doesn’t display info on executive team or similar. However, this and other information can be found on their Linkedin. For greater trust and confidence, we’d like to see ProBit implement Proof of reserves, and provide more transparency into wallet security protocols.
When it comes to account safety, only the basic options exist. To bolster account security and prevent unauthorized logins additional improvements can be made, starting with anti-phishing codes, which is a very simple but important feature.
In summary, ProBit is considered safe, and it’s a legitimate crypto exchange. It’s not the world’s biggest or safest exchange, nor is it trying to be. But for basic crypto trading, you can be sure they won’t steal your funds or scam you in any way.
The answer may depend entirely on your expectations. ProBit Global is considered a smaller CEX, but has attracted more than 2 million traders over the years. It’s biggest selling points are easy spot trading of new tokens, with a privacy-focused no-KYC policy.
If you expect advanced trading features or a comprehensive set of financial services, you will need to look at bigger exchanges in the industry. But if you need basic spot trading and never dabble into Margin or Futures trading, there’s no reason not to use this platform.
Original features score in our review was 39/100, and the total review score was 2.6 stars.
