Is Bitget good for new investors?
Bitget is a great beginner exchange, and very suitable for first-time Bitcoin investors. This is due to multiple cheap fiat deposit methods, an easy to use interface, plus several features specifically designed for beginners.
Fiat deposits
On Bitget, you can directly deposit over 100 local fiat currencies through credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Zen. Deposit fees are some of the lowest in the industry, and Bitget will not charge you any high premiums for using their direct deposit methods.
In fact, the platform quite often runs zero-fee deposit events too. You can deposit over a dozen currencies via bank transfers, including EUR, BRL, PLN, AUD, CAD, CHF, VND, ZAR and others. By using bank cards or other payment methods, you can deposit in 100+ fiat currencies.
As an alternative to the platform’s direct deposits, you can also use integrated 3rd party fiat gateways. Through the gateways, you can deposit via additional payment methods such as PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, and many more local payment methods and digital wallets.
To view all deposit methods and exact associated fees, just scroll back up to our Bitget Fees section.
Users who can’t use any traditional payment methods or need even more alternatives can also use Bitget’s P2P marketplace. Cashapp, Perfect Money, Webmoney, Zelle, Payeer, Revolut, Wise, and many additional country-specific local banks and payment methods are listed from a variety of individual merchants, letting you buy crypto with practically any method you like. Bitget has one of the most active P2P markets, comparable to Binance.
Fiat withdrawals
Bitget will also let you withdraw fiat to your bank account. For direct withdrawals, you can currently use SEPA bank transfers, PIX or ZEN. Additional methods are available through 3rd party fiat gateways, or via the P2P marketplace.
Bitget also has a Visa debit card, which is compatible with Google Pay and Apple Pay. Since Bitget Card is physical, you can use it to withdraw money on any ATM, too. Unfortunately, the card is currently only available to select Bitget VIPs.
Needless to say, you can always withdraw crypto assets to other exchanges or wallets. Bitget has very cheap withdrawal fees, and unless you are using expensive blockchains you can expect to pay less than $1 per withdrawal. By holding a certain amount of BGB native token, you can even enjoy completely free crypto withdrawals.
Beginner-friendly features
- Quick convert – Don’t want the hassle of seemingly complicated trading interfaces and spot orders? Simply use the quick conversion feature to convert assets with just a couple of clicks, without fees or slippage.
- Copy trading – Bitget provides a great interface with hundreds of expert and profitable traders. It’s not always a great idea to let others manage your trades, but beginners wanting to dabble into trading can copy positions from others in an attempt to profit.
- Mobile app – Bitget’s mobile app is comprehensive, well-designed, and will let you buy and trade crypto with ease on iOS or Android devices.
- Demo trading – By using the Demo Trading feature, you can practice crypto trading with zero risk to actual assets.
Is Bitget good for trading crypto?
Crypto traders can use Spot, Margin, Futures, Copytrading, with a diverse selection of trading bots for automated trading. By using Bitget’s web3 wallet, traders can even seamlessly swap on-chain assets and participate in decentralized trading, with access to over 20,000 coins. There’s no shortage of ways to trade and invest!
Quick Convert
Complete beginners can use Bitget’s Convert feature to quickly swap between different digital assets. This completely eliminates the need to use any complex trading interfaces or orders.

Bitget charges no additional fees for quick conversion, but a certain price spread will be applied (difference between quoted and market price). This spread is often slightly higher compared to regular spot trading fees, so consider it a convenience premium. In several tests we did, the spread was 0.2% (essentially double fees compared to regular spot trading). For cheapest possible fees, you can simply switch over to the regular spot trading interface.
Spot and Margin trading
On Spot trading, you can invest in more than 800 altcoins. This provides a diverse selection of assets, sufficient to satisfy anyone’s risk appetites. Those wanting increased capital efficiency can also trade assets on Margin with 3X, 5X or 10X leverage, depending on chosen asset.
Trading fees on Spot are 0.1% per transaction, regardless of order type (maker or taker). Simplistically speaking, buying $1,000 worth of Bitcoin will cost $1 in fees. These fees can be reduced by 20% simply by paying for fees in BGB, Bitget’s native token. In comparison with other CEXs, the spot fees are cheaper than average.
Futures trading
Fewer trading pairs are available on Futures market, just over 500 currently. Traders can choose from stablecoin-margined or coin-margined futures. Up to 125X leverage can be applied to positions. Advanced trading orders are available, including trigger, trailing stop, scaled orders, iceberg, TWAP, and of course TP/SL. Traders can open positions in either cross or isolated mode.

User interface is fairly customizable. Elements such as chart or positions can be resized, moved or even removed to your liking. You can even hide the order book and various informational panels.
Trading fees on futures are industry-average, starting at 0.02% to maximum 0.06% per transaction.

Copytrading
If you want to dabble into trading but don’t know where to begin, Bitget’s Copy Trading feature might be a good start. You can choose from Spot, Futures or even Bot copy trading. You can find plenty of profitable traders, and Bitget will easily let you review their historical performances, return on investment, total profit, and other relevant information.

Keep in mind that letting others manage your trading always carries some risk. Be cautious with copytrading, and always allocate only a small portion of your funds to test it.
Bot trading
Basic trading bots include Grid and Grid Position, and Smart Portfolio to automatically rebalance the value of your portfolio. An excellent and beginner-friendly bot is Spot auto-invest, letting you buy a preset amount of crypto at regularly scheduled intervals. The auto-invest bot can let you easily DCA (dollar-cost-average) buy into Bitcoin, Ethereum or other coins once a week, month, or other select period.
Furthermore, advanced bots include Martingale, CTA, quant, signal bot, and funding rate arbitrage. Most bots are available on both spot and futures markets. Using trading bots is free, but of course trading fees will still apply.

Best part is that you don’t need to start from scratch. To get started, you can find profitable trading bots created by the community and simply copy the settings. The only other exchange with trading bots that rivals Bitget’s bot selection is Pionex. But as always, remember that bot trading is aimed for experienced traders. You should always make sure you know what you’re doing with any kind of automated trades.
Other Bitget features
- Crypto loans – Need more trading capital? Bitget will let you instantly take out a loan using your deposited crypto as collateral. When used wisely, this can be a great tool for maximizing your capital and profiting during market volatility.
- Staking – You can easily earn passive income with Bitget’s comprehensive “Earn” feature. You can use flexible or fixed duration savings or on-chain staking, up to you. Beyond staking, you can also use Shark Fin, Dual Investment, Wealth Management, and other financial products to earn steady returns with variable risk.
- Airdrops – Bitget has fairly frequent airdrops for those who hold BTC, USDT, or BGB in their accounts. Simply by holding assets in your spot wallet, you can receive occasional airdrops of newly released tokens. Additionally, by holding Bitget’s native token BGB, you can participate in their PoolX feature, receiving consistent airdrops (on top of other BGB-holding perks like reduced trading fees).
- Subaccounts – By using subaccounts, you can ensure your long-term portfolio is unaffected by any risky trading, such as using high leverage Futures, trading bots, or copytrading.

Wallet supports over 100 blockchain networks, and is available on iOS, Android, as a Chrome extension or Telegram app. It’s one of the top wallets for anyone looking to dabble into self-custody, decentralized trading, decentralized apps (dApps), or NFTs.
