Ondo Tokenized Stocks Go Live on Gate, Bitget, LBank, and MEXC

The doors to Wall Street 2.0 have officially opened. Ondo Global Markets (Ondo GM) has launched1, bringing tokenized versions of U.S. stocks and ETFs on-chain for investors outside the U.S. This is more than just another token listing: it’s the largest rollout of tokenized equities in history, backed by regulated custodians and designed for institutional-grade finance.

In this piece, we’ll explore what Ondo tokenized assets are, explain their benefits, and where you can trade them.

Key takeaways:

  • Ondo GM offers tokenized U.S. stocks with dividends, mintable 24/5, transferable 24/7.
  • Gate, MEXC, LBank, and Bitget now list Ondo tokens.
  • Over 100 assets live, expanding to 1,000 by year-end.

What are Ondo Global Markets

Ondo GM is a tokenization platform built to give you direct exposure to thousands of U.S. publicly traded securities, including stocks and ETFs, without the bottlenecks of traditional brokers. By putting these assets on blockchain, Ondo delivers transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for investors globally.

Here’s what makes it different:

  • Full Asset Backing: Every token is backed 1:1 by the actual stock or ETF, custodied with U.S.-registered broker-dealers.
  • Total Return Tracking: Tokens don’t just mirror price, but also capture dividends or interest, automatically reinvested (net of withholding tax).
  • Instant Minting & Redemption: Available 24/5 in sync with market hours, with peer-to-peer transfers running 24/7.
  • Inherited Liquidity: Ondo tokens tap directly into traditional market liquidity, ensuring low slippage and minimal price dislocation.
  • Transferability & DeFi Use: Tokens can move across supported blockchains and be used in lending, borrowing, or collateral protocols.
  • Investor Protections: Daily third-party verification plus a bankruptcy-remote structure safeguard tokenholders.

Ondo’s naming convention keeps it simple: add the suffix on to the stock ticker. Apple becomes AAPLon, Tesla becomes TSLAon, and so on. Think of on as shorthand for “onchain” or “Ondo”.

Regional Access and No-KYC Trading

Ondo tokenized stocks are not registered under the U.S. Securities Act and cannot be offered or sold to U.S. persons. However, they’re widely available abroad, including in the European Economic Area, U.K., and Switzerland (with some restrictions).

If you’re outside the U.S., you can trade these tokens 24/5 with minting/redemption and 24/7 with peer-to-peer transfers. Exchanges like MEXC and LBank also allow spot trading with minimal or no KYC, and therefore provide extra accessibility for retail investors seeking quick entry without heavy onboarding.

Biggest Competitors: xStocks and dShares

Ondo isn’t alone in this tokenization boom. Other firms are also pushing stocks on-chain:

  • xStocks by Backed Assets (JE) Limited: Swiss-issued tokens under the country’s DLT Act. Fully collateralized, ERC-20 based, and tradable on DEXs without KYC. Popular on Solana.
  • dShares by Dinari: SEC-registered transfer agent and broker-dealer issuing ERC-20 tokens on Arbitrum One. Each dShare is 1:1 backed by the corresponding U.S. equity, with dividends included.

Both models reflect the same principle: real assets, tokenized for global, borderless, 24/7 access. xStocks are mainly tradeable on Solana, but just yesterday Kraken also added support for xStocks on Ethereum7.

dShares are still available only on Gemini. On the other hand, xStocks initially rolled out on just a few exchanges, but quickly expanded to a dozen large crypto exchanges including Gate, Bybit, KuCoin, BitMart, XT, MEXC, Bitget, BingX, LBank, Kraken, and others.

Since Ondo’s tokenized assets are fully decentralized, it’s likely only a matter of time until more exchanges add them to their listings. Furthermore, you can trade them on any decentralized exchange.

Ondo GM Launch is Big

Stablecoins exported the dollar to blockchain. Now, tokenized equities are exporting U.S. securities. With Ondo Global Markets and its exchange partners, investors worldwide can buy Apple, Tesla, or the S&P 500 directly on-chain, backed by regulated structures and traditional liquidity.

This isn’t a proof of concept anymore. It’s the foundation of Wall Street 2.0. If you’re outside the U.S., explore Ondo’s tokenized stocks today on Gate, MEXC, LBank, or Bitget. Whether you want blue-chip exposure or ETF diversification, the future of investing has officially moved on-chain.
