EOS is one of those dinocoins that still finds its way into many spot bags. EOS staking yields are far from impressive, but if you’re holding EOS on exchanges there’s little reason not to get additional yields.
We compared all exchanges offering EOS staking to find out which ones have the best APY (annual percentage yield). Results are in the table below.
Exchange: | Flexible APY: |
---|---|
Binance | 1.15% |
Bitfinex | 1.50% |
Bybit | 1.50% |
CoinW | 1.00% |
Gate | 0.88% |
KuCoin | 0.02% |
Pionex | 0.95% |
Poloniex | 1.00% |
XT | 0.30% |
Is staking EOS worth it?
All APYs in the table above are for flexible staking. Flexible staking means you can withdraw or use your EOS coins (including accumulated interest) at any time without penalties or fees.
This means you can still trade your EOS tokens at any time. If you are holding EOS on an exchange, there’s no reason not to get as much as possible out of your holdings, despite the yields being very low.
A few things to remember:
- Savings, staking or earn programs may not be available in all countries or territories. US and Canada are often excluded from staking, but check each exchange to ensure this is the case.
- Alternatively, you can use exchanges without KYC to bypass regional restrictions.
- APYs mentioned exclude temporary promotional rates, new user bonus yields, or other temporarily available rates. Yields displayed in the table are average and available to all customers,
When it comes to increasing the value of their spot holdings, EOS holders need all the help they can get. Even a measly 1% or 1.5% annual yield is better than nothing. There’s practically no risk to staking EOS on CEXs, so be sure to consider sending your tokens to one of the exchanges that offers higher yields.
