Bybit users will feel right at home on XT. A familiar interface, but with lower fees and no identity verification requirements make XT an excellent alternative to Bybit or other top tier exchanges.
Perhaps not just an alternative, though, but a serious contender. Multiple fiat deposit gateways let you easily convert local currency into crypto. You can also use the peer-to-peer marketplace to purchase crypto with additional local payment methods.
XT also offers very good staking yields on a lot of 100+ popular digital assets, along with other investment and earn opportunities. To top it all off, signing up through our referral link gives you a permanent 10% fee discount with zero downsides.

XT Crypto Exchange Review – Introduction
XT.com is a medium sized centralized crypto exchange launched in 2018. This trading platform has many advanced features, low fees, good volume and plenty of altcoin diversity. To many traders, XT has has been an excellent alternative to some of the larger exchanges.
In our XT exchange review, we’ll take a close look into all features, deposit methods, fees, safety, and other relevant factors.
Pros and Cons
- Multiple fiat deposit gateways supporting bank transfers, credit cards, Google & Apple Pay, Advcash, and more.
- P2P trading for buying crypto with Revolut, Skrill, Neteller, Wise, Payeer, Zen, and many other methods.
- Many assets for staking, some with very high yields.
- Familiar interface to Bybit users.
- Lots of small-cap altcoins.
- Easy to get fee discounts for volume, account balances, or XT native token holders.
- Lower volume compared to top tier exchanges.
- Low customization options in the trading interface.
- Trading interface is available in dark color scheme, but most of the website isn’t.
Is XT Good For Beginners?
For first-time crypto investors. XT gets an above average score. The platform is fairly easy to use, and lets you deposit via many reputable 3rd party fiat gateway services such as Volet, Simplex, MoonPay, Banxa, Mercuryo, and others. XT exchange also has a number of beginner-friendly features that make purchasing or investing into crypto easier.
Fiat Deposits
There are no direct deposit methods, so XT users have to use integrated 3rd party services to deposit local currency. Fortunately, using these services is easy, and the steps after visiting the “Buy Crypto” section on the website will be self-explanatory. The biggest downside to 3rd party payment systems are high fees, often between 3% and 5%, or even higher.
There are also upsides: through these services you can use all the popular payment methods (bank transfers, bank cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Revolut). Depending on gateway, many additional local payment methods and e-wallet services are also supported. Some gateways support more than 100 payment methods.
For a detailed breakdown of fees and supported payment methods for each gateway, just scroll back up to our XT fees section.
In addition to multiple gateways, users can also buy or sell crypto on XT.com’s P2P marketplace. Additional payment methods and currencies are supported on the P2P market, such as Skrill, Payeer, WebMoney, Advcash, Wise, Zelle, and others. XT doesn’t have the most vibrant marketplace with thousands of merchants. But, P2P trading can be an alternate method to purchase crypto in many locations or currencies.
Fiat Withdrawals
Through the same 3rd party services, users can also withdraw fiat to their bank accounts, debit cards, or other payment services. The exact methods available depend on each service, but also your country or local currency. Fees are equally high as deposits, often hovering around 5%.
Customers can also order a XT-branded debit card, which lets them spend cryptocurrency at any merchant that supports regular Mastercard payments. This can often be the easiest way to spend smaller amounts of crypto on day to day expenses. Unfortunately, the XT card has very high requirements (need to hold at least 300,000 XT native token).
Beginner Features
Besides easy fiat deposits, a number of features makes XT suitable for newbies. Beginners can use the demo trading feature, which lets them practice crypto trading with zero risk to actual money. Then, the exchange also has copytrading, often used by beginners looking to take first steps into trading cryptocurrency. Mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Additionally, customers can use XT’s staking to earn passive income on deposits, or even take our crypto loans using their spot as collateral. An integrated NFT marketplace is also suitable for beginners who want to dabble into digital collectibles.
Beginners will also appreciate XT’s live customer support. In case you have any questions or concerns, you can talk to actual people immediately through website’s live chat. Otherwise, you can also get assistance through email, or find plenty of guides and articles in the Help Center, which will explain how to deposit, withdraw, trade, or other aspects.
Is XT Good For Trading Crypto?
XT is excellent for crypto traders. This is due to a good user interface, high volume, diverse altcoin selection, and multiple features aimed at traders.
User Interface
XT.COM’s user interface very much reminds us of Bybit’s UI, which is a good thing! Bybit practically perfected the trading UI, so high-demanding traders will have no issues or confusion when executing trades on XT’s markets.

Three different layouts are available depending on your preferences, but in general the UI is not very customizable. You won’t be able to resize or move various windows or panels to your liking. Sadly, the order book an market trades can’t be hidden, either.
A special feature on XT that we’d like to see integrated on more exchanges are On-Chain Analytics. By simply swapping from the TradingView chart to Onchain Analytics tab, you can see data such as daily active addresses, large transactions, ownership by time held, in/out prices, and other on-chain data that can be used to make informed trading decisions.

When it comes to executing trades, you can place Limit, Market, Stop Limit, and Trailing Stop orders on any market. More advanced order types such as Iceberg or TWAP are not available, but these will only matter to expert traders.
Trading Markets
On XT, you can trade crypto on Spot, Margin, or Futures. You can also engage in Copytrading, in case you prefer letting others manage your investments. In total, XT has over 1050 altcoins available for purchase, which is more than enough to provide you with high portfolio diversification.
ETF-style leveraged tokens are also available on spot. These allow you to invest with up to 5X leverage on Bitcoin and Ethereum, and 3X leverage on other altcoins, but with no risk of liquidation. On Margin trading, up top 20X leverage can be used.
On Derivatives, you can trade perpetual or quarterly futures, settled in either USDT or coin-margined. When trading futures, up to 125X leverage can be applied.

XT also has Pre-Market trading, allowing you to invest into newly released tokens before they officially get listed on exchanges. Investing into new coins always carries risk, but experienced investors may be able to leverage this market to buy certain assets early, or potentially sell their airdropped tokens ahead of market open.
Trading Fees
- Spot & Margin: 0.20% fee on all orders (taker or maker). These are industry average.
- Futures: 0.04% fee for maker (minimum fee), 0.06% fee for taker orders (maximum fee).
By using Cexfinder’s signup link, you can also receive a 10% trading fee discount. There’s no strings attached or special requirements; simply using the link with our referral code applies a fee rebate with zero downside.
On Spot market, the fees are industry average. On Futures market, taker fees are average, while maker fees are above average. To compare all CEXs, see our Fee Comparison page.

Aside from our referral discount, there are also additional coupons for new users that can offset fees further. For example, completing KYC gives you 2 USDT, and depositing and trading over 100 USDT gives you another $2 in spot. Additional futures coupons for fee rebates are also available. For a complete breakdown, you can check the Rewards Hub on XT’s website or see our XT Crypto Trading Fees section above.
Furthermore, high-volume traders can obtain VIP level discounts, starting at $5,000 volume over 30 days for spot, or $200,000 volume within 30 days on futures. Lastly, paying fees in XT (native token) gives you a 25% Spot fee discount (none on Futures at the moment).
Additional Crypto Trading Features
- Crypto Loans – To increase your trading capital, you can take loans by using your existing crypto assets as collateral.
- Subaccounts – To prevent liquidations or test high risk trading strategies, you can use subaccounts to isolate and shield assets from risk.
- Optional KYC – Because XT is a no-KYC exchange, traders from countries where trading derivatives and futures is restricted may be able to use this platform.
- Demo Trading – You can use Demo Trading feature to test the exchange with absolutely no risk to actual money. You can practice trading strategies or get familiar with the platform with $10,000 in virtual funds, which you can replenish repeatedly every 3 days.
- Futures Grid Trading – Aside from Copytrading there are no automated trading strategies or bots available, but you can try Futures Grid bot to execute shorts or longs on any futures trading pair.
- Auto-Invest – XT’s Spot auto-invest bot lets you schedule recurring crypto purchases at customized intervals. This lets you easily DCA (dollar-cost-average) your investment or save money in crypto over time.
- Tokenized stocks – You can trade xStocks on the platform, which offer compliant and regulated trading of major company stocks such as Tesla, Nvidia or others. xStocks lets you buy fractions of stocks, and withdraw them to other exchanges or self-custody wallets.

Financial & Investment Services
Savings, on-chain staking, advanced investing, launchpool, launchpad, and crypto loans enable traders and investors additional avenues of earning money without directly trading crypto.
Savings
Over 100 assets are available for staking on XT. Popular digital tokens such as BTC, USDT, USDC, ADA, SOL, DOGE, XRP, TON, SHIB, and many others are available. Additionally, a ton of low market cap coins are also listed for staking. In case your self-custody wallets hold some fringe altcoins, be sure to check out XT’s staking section to see if you can earn passive income on your holdings.

All assets are available in Flexible duration (you can use and trade staked coins at any time). Many coins also have fixed-duration staking from 7 days up to a year. Whether you’re holding short term, long term, or need tokens available at a moment’s notice, XT will be a great staking platform and adapt to your needs.
Onchain Staking
ETH, SOL, SUI, TAO, OM, TIA, TON, APT, AVAX, TRX, DOT, POL, and other assets can also be staked on the blockchain for increased returns. At the moment of writing this, you can earn 19% APY (yearly return) on coins such as ATOM or OM right now. These returns make on-chain staking a potentially very lucrative deal for long-term holders.
Other Investment Opportunities
XT also provides hashrate mining and smart trend as investment methods. Plus, there’s wealth management section, allowing for quant arbitrage investing for steady growth or enhanced returns. Shark fin investing is also available for both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Additionally, XT has a Launchpad section. In Launchpads, you can invest into upcoming crypto projects early and potentially reap the greatest profits. These can be risky investments, so always do proper research into projects to ensure positive returns.

At this point, there appears to be approximately one launchpad project released every month. Regardless, XT exchange will make early investing into new projects simple for anyone who wants to take the risk.
Launchpools
Launchpool section lets XT coin (native token) holders earn occasional airdrops based on their holdings. XT doesn’t run launchpools as frequently as Gate, KuCoin or Bybit, but participating can still boost your portfolio size with practically no risk.
Get notified about latest launchpools via our Promo Events news!
Remember, holding XT also gives you spot trading fee discounts and has other benefits. Therefore, participating in Launchpools can add further value to buying and holding the tokens in your account.
Crypto Loans
You can use over 100 mainstream crypto assets as collateral to take out loans in USDT, BTC, ETH, USDC, SOL, or 10+ other currencies. You can take out flexible or fixed-term loans, with options for early repayment or renewal. Annual interest rates are competitive and can be as low as 1%, and there are no hidden fees or fine print.

At the time of writing this, yearly interest on borrowing BTC is only 3.5% for example. On the other hand, borrowing USDT has an annual interest rate of 14.4%. Loans aren’t always recommended to beginners, because borrowing assets is best for traders who know how to use additional capital.
Is XT.com a Safe Exchange?
- XT.COM was launched back in 2018, and now services over 8 million users.
- The platform uses cold storage with multi-signature to safely store customer deposits in offline wallets.
- Regular penetration testing is done to detect any potential exploits or security issues. Plus, a bug bounty program is in place to ensure flaws get reported and fixed.
- XT publishes proof of reserves reports, allowing anyone to verify that their deposits are safe and not misused.
- Account security measures include 2FA through Google Authenticator, Passkey, or SMS and email. Additional security methods include withdrawal address whitelist, anti-phishing codes, login history, and device management.
- Exchange has a reserve insurance fund with over 1.5X customer total deposits. In the event of drained or stolen funds, this insurance ensures users can always get compensated for potential losses.
- No major security breaches or stolen assets have been recorded. Last XT.com hack was in November 2024, when $1.7 million was stolen.
- By CoinMarketCap’s data, XT is usually in top 20 by spot trading volume, and top 10 by derivatives.
- Regulatory licenses include MSB license in United States and DMCC license in United Arab Emirates.
- Due to regulatory compliance, XT does not service customers from United States, Canada, China, Indonesia, Singapore, and sanctioned regions.
Due to XT’s no-kyc policy, lack of regulatory licenses and approvals is expected. This doesn’t make XT.com unsafe or illegal, similar to other no-kyc exchanges. But in the future, additional regulatory approvals would add extra confidence into the exchange’s safety.
Aside from a small hack back in 2024, the exchange has s stellar record. There’s nothing in XT’s history to make us assume this exchange is a scam, fraudulent, or otherwise shady. The platform has been operating for many years and has millions of active traders using it without any issues.
Conclusion – Is XT.com a Good Exchange?
XT has spot, margin and derivatives trading, all with industry-average fees (at least by default). Platform lets you trade over 1050 altcoins, and the volume and liquidity are more than sufficient even for high volume traders.
The exchange has optional identity verification, making it an attractive option for crypto investors who want to trade without typical restrictions. Without submitting your ID, you can withdraw up to $200,000 per day – more than enough for anyone.
To make XT more beginner-friendly, we’d like to see additional direct fiat deposit methods with low or zero fees, similar to other top competitors. However, if you simply purchase crypto with fiat elsewhere, you can still enjoy XT’s pleasant interface and vast features to trade and invest.
In summary, XT is for sure one of the top no-KYC exchanges that are available right now. It’s also an excellent medium-sized exchange suitable as an alternative to increasingly restrictive Bybit, Binance, or other top exchanges. If you need a new trading home, we highly recommend giving XT.COM a try!
